Application Forms
The Planning Portal
The easiest way to apply for planning permission is online via the planning portal, this is a one stop shop for planning in the UK. You can upload your maps and pay for your application online using this service. Submitting your application through the planning portal will speed up the determination of your application and will save you the cost of postage and printing.
However, if you would prefer you can download and print the relevant forms then complete and return them to the planning office. Again we would prefer if these forms were submitted electronically via planning.validation@ceredigion.gov.uk. However if you are unable to send in the application electronically please post to: Planning Service: Planning, Canolfan Rheidol, Rhodfa Padarn, Llanbadarn Fawr, Aberystwyth, Ceredigion, SY23 3UE.
This section also contains guidance notes for all of the application forms alternatively these can be viewed online via the planning portal. If you are sure which form you require then you can download it from the table below, otherwise you are advised to submit your application via the planning portal as this service is interactive and guides you through the application procedure.
Please ensure your application is complete otherwise it will not be accepted by Ceredigion County Council and this may cause you unnecessary delays. You are advised to use the planning portal to submit your application as this service will advise you if any of the form is filled incorrectly.
Please note: If submitting in paper format we only require one set.

All planning applications require a certificate of ownership over the land to which they relate, this is included in the application form, if however you are not the owner of the land or the land is agricultural and has tenants on it then you will have to serve them notice of your intention to apply for planning permission. You can download a notice for you to serve to owners or tenants from the right hand side of the web page.
