Performance

Performance Management at Ceredigion County Council helps us to improve the services we provide to the community. It involves us regularly reviewing how well our services, such as waste collection, social care, education and housing are being delivered and identifying areas for improvement.

By setting clear goals, monitoring progress and measuring outcomes we aim to ensure that we use our resources effectively to best meet the needs of residents. It enables us to be transparent and accountable about how well we are performing and where changes may be needed to make services better.

There are three of our key documents which support this:

  1. Performance Management Framework – which sets out how we monitor our performance
  2. Self Assessment
    1. Latest Self-Assessment Report (2022/2023) – a formal report that must be produced annually to evaluate our performance. It assess how effectively we are fulfilling our duties, delivering services and meeting our strategic objectives. It identifies both successes and areas for improvement, based on evidence such as service delivery outcomes and feedback from stakeholders
  3. Performance Results
    1. Corporate Wellbeing Objectives measures dashboard (2023/24) – a set of our own internal performance measures and some external benchmark data to demonstrate our performance in 2023/24
    2. Local Authority Performance Profile Results 10/09/2024 – Data Cymru has developed a new performance data tool to support local authorities. The Local Authority Performance Profile (LAPP) contains a selection of key performance measures
