Learner Wellbeing and Support
All Dysgu Bro adult learners have access to Universal Learning Provision. This can include the following:
- The creation of an Individual Learning Plan at the start of your regular course where you can discuss and record any individual support needs
- Access to our Wellbeing and Inclusion Training Adviser for advice and direction to other support services and resources
- Personal support from your Training Adviser
- Free literacy, numeracy and digital skills classes (subject to availability)
- Free loan of a laptop or iPad whilst undertaking one of our courses
Our learners whose needs are not met by the Universal Learning Provision may require additional support. The following Additional Learning Provision may be offered to those with qualifying supporting evidence of an additional learning need.
- Free loan of reading pens and dyslexia dictionaries
- Access to specialist staff to obtain additional evidence to support applications for reasonable adjustments for examinations (note we do not offer assessments of Additional Learning Needs such as autism)
- Unfortunately, we are not able to offer teaching assistant support in our classes
For further information, please contact admin@dysgubro.org.uk or phone 01970 633540 and ask to contact our ALN Co-ordinator.
If you are a young person with Additional Learning Needs leaving compulsory education and entering post-16 education and training, further information and guidance is available here.
