We are the leading provider of building control services in Ceredigion, offering an impartial and publically-accountable service that is committed to providing high quality and cost-effective assistance tailored to our clients' needs, whether it's multi-million pound construction work, or a home improvement project.

To further ensure the residents of the County are provided with an unrivalled service, the section possesses / provides the following:

  • Extensive local knowledge of geographical and geological conditions, together with extensive historical records

  • Issue Completion Certificates confirming inspections have been undertaken and therefore compliance with the relevant requirements of the Regulations
  • A team approach to larger developments in conjunction with Mid and West Wales Fire and Rescue Service.
  • A team of fully qualified officers with experience in the full range of project types
  • Construction Skills Certification Scheme (CSCS) Registered Officers
  • A professional, efficient and effective advice, plan checking, and decision process
  • Same day inspection service so as not to delay progress on site

  • Full technical assessment of schemes within 15 working days from validation
  • Provide advice, guidance and assessments in compliance with the Code for Sustainable Homes (mandatory after 01/09/2010)
  • SAP Calculation Service
  • Participation in the "Building Excellence "awards, recognising builders that consistently produce quality construction
  • Provision of key information on properties to vendors or agents
  • Respond to and provide copies of decision notices and certificates to the legal profession
  • Work with warranty providers to ensure Completion Certificates are issued in accordance with Council of Mortgage Lenders guidelines.
