Dementia bus visits Ceredigion
A Dementia Bus will be arriving in Ceredigion in August 2024 to give residents a better understanding of the daily challenges faced by those living with dementia.
Ceredigion residents are encouraged to attend this free unique experience organised by Ceredigion County Council's Learning and Development team.
The Dementia Bus gives an experience of what dementia might be like by using specialist equipment and creating a stimulated environment.
Working in collaboration with specialist training provider Training2care, the Dementia Bus will be located outside the Centre for Independent Living, in the Council’s Office, Penmorfa, Aberaeron on Monday 12 August 2024.
A Ceredigion County Council spokesperson said: “Many Ceredigion residents are living with dementia. Families and caregivers will know the challenges this brings. We would like to thank Training2care for choosing us to host and provide this experience for residents of Ceredigion. The Dementia Bus is a powerful and unique experience and we hope members of the public book a place to join one of the sessions.”
