The Dog (Fouling of Land) Act 1996
The Dog (Fouling) of Land Act 1996 makes it an offence if the owner or person in charge of a dog does not clean up after the dog has fouled. The owner or person in charge of a dog may receive a fixed penalty notice of £75, or a maximum fine of £1000 if prosecuted in the magistrate’s court.
