How to Pay
You may make payments using this secure site with most major credit or debit cards.
You can pay by Direct Debit from your Bank or Building Society Account
- You will be given 14 days notice of the amounts to be debited or if the amount or payment date changes
- If an error is made you are guaranteed a full and immediate refund from your branch
- You can cancel the Direct Debit at any time by writing to your Bank or Building Society
You can sign up for Direct Debit by registering online. By registering for Connect you can view your Council Tax, Benefits or Business Rates accounts online. With a Connect account you can view your notices / notifications, check your balance, amend your Direct Debit details plus much more. Click on the Connect / E-Billing link on the left to register.

By Post | Cheques or Postal Orders should be made payable to "Ceredigion County Council" and crossed. (Please write your reference number on the reverse of your cheque or postal order.) Post Offices and Payzone outlets | Your demand notice contains a barcode which can be used to make payments at a Post Office or a Payzone outlet using a debit card, cash or cheque. You will need to present your demand notice when making your payment. Find your nearest Payzone in Ceredigion. |
Payments are due on the 1st of each month from April to January or you can elect to pay annually on 1st May or half yearly on 1st May and 1st October. You can also elect to pay over 12 months. Requests to pay over 12 months need to be directed to the Local Taxation Section. If you elect to pay by Direct Debit payments can be arranged on the 1st, 15th, or 22nd.
