Winter Fuel Payment
If you were born before 23 September 1958 you could get either £200 or £300 to help you pay your heating bills for winter 2024 to 2025. There is more information on UK Government website - Winter Fuel Payment
If you have heard about the changes to Winter Fuel Payments, please be aware that you must apply for Pension Credit by 21 December 2024 to qualify for the 2024 to 2025 Winter Fuel Payment.
Cold Weather Payments
If you receive Pension Credit, Income Support, income-based Jobseeker’s Allowance, income-related Employment and Support Allowance or Universal Credit you will automatically receive a one-off Cold Weather Payment each time it gets very cold. Pension Credit
Pension Credit gives you extra money to help with your living costs if you’re over State Pension age and on a low income. If you get Pension Credit you can also get other help, such as Housing Benefit, Winter Fuel Payment, help to pay the interest on your mortgage, Council Tax discount, a free TV licence and more.
