We are committed to ensuring that people receive their correct entitlement to Housing Benefit & Council Tax Reduction and every effort is made to deal with all claims as quickly as possible.
Report a Council Tax Reduction Scheme fraud
Council Tax Reduction Scheme (previously known as Council Tax Benefit) fraud is investigated by the County Council.
We will pro-actively investigate allegations and potentially fraudulent applications and awards for:
- Council Tax Reduction Scheme
- Council Tax Discounts and Exemptions
- Business Rates evasion and avoidance

Report a Housing Benefit or a Department for Works and Pensions Benefit fraud
The Department for Work & Pensions is responsible for investigating Housing Benefit Fraud and reporting a suspected fraud can be made in the following three ways:
